This committee shall consist of:

• Giving leadership to the Christian Education program of Hope Lutheran Church as it provides for the Christian nurturing of children, youth and adults in the congregation.


• Providing a variety of educational opportunities for children, youth and adults and nursery care for the very young.

• Meet at least quarterly as a committee.
• Establish objectives for, develop, coordinate and maintain the education program in the congregation, (i.e. Sunday School, Bible Study, Vacation Bible School, Preschool, Adult Classes, Confirmation Classes and all other educational groups).
• Supervise and with, council approval, set policy for the total education program of the congregation.
• With the support of the pastors, staff and congregation council, recruit sufficient qualified people to serve as leaders, teachers and helpers in the various education ministries of the congregation.
• Encourage increasing participation of every member of the congregation in Bible study, privately and in formal and informal groups.
• Provide for the continuing spiritual growth of young people of the congregation.
• Provide a monthly report to the Congregation Council on the activities of the Christian Education Committee.
